The deals at GCGSX are truly value purchases because most of the Vendors are all regular people from the local area that are selling their own personal items. They don’t want to store their stuff anymore or rent storage space. They NEED to sell their items and don’t want to take much home with them. The Vendors are highly motivated.
The businesses that host at the event have to meet pricing criteria to have a Personal Garage Sale space. The items that they are selling are value priced items that are priced below regular market values.

It's not free to put on an Event of this magnitude, and the income from the vendors rent is extremely reasonable and doesn’t even come close to covering the costs to host the GCGSX (Great Canadian Garage Sale & Expo). Notable costs associated with organizing the GCGSX including licenses, event insurance, employees, security. GCGSX spends thousands of dollars on promoting our events so that the vendors and customers have a great experience - And for just a Toonie more upgrading to the Super-Pass makes sense also. Unlike any other Event or Expo that has this small of an entry fee, the Great Canadian Garage Sale + Expo gives away Thousands of dollars worth of major prizes! Not cheap giveaways – we’re talking about many big screen TVs, laptops, drones, and much more, every single day, live! The deals are already outstanding, but hey why not some awesome door prizes too right! Still think $3.95 is too much? If it’s strictly about the math consider fuel costs. You could maybe visit 2 or 3 garage sales for $4 in fuel? If you have a good fuel mileage car, possibly 5. Our August Event saw over 130 garage sales over the 2 days and over 400 tables of personal treasures!
